Huatulco, Mexico

We had an amazing time in Huatulco, Mexico! I would strongly recommend a trip there! It's on the pacific side and is not touristy at all. Cancun and Riviera Maya are nice, but this is so much better. Below is just an array of pictures from while we were there. This was such a nice getaway for Matt and I, as we had been running like crazy January and February. I am a strong advocate for a couple's getaway.  A couple needs to get away to really spend time with one another, reconnect, talk about things other than the kids or work. It's good for kids to see that mom and dad want to be together.  Sometimes the attention I should give Matt gets lost in the busyness of kids, laundry, diapers, dishes, cleaning, etc. This trip was a time for Matt and I to rejuvenate and "date" again! Flirt again! So if you have the means to get away for just a day or two at a local hotel-do it! The kids will be just fine without you, mom! I PROMISE!

                                                 Secrets Resort (Adults only!)

 We took a walk outside of our resort to another beach about 15 minutes walk away. It was great!

                                        They had a fresh water river you could float on. Current was strong!

                                                                Mexican Buffet Night

               Went into town: La Crucecita! Fun to explore and go into the markets.

 The resort put on an Oscar's night buffet and played the Oscars on a big screen. Do you think I'd be on the best dressed or worst dressed list?!

       It really was fun to get dressed up every night and go out to dinner! Nice dinners with my babe!

  Um, yeah, we ventured onto the roof one night and security found us and told us to get off! In our defense, the door was not locked!!! The view was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Carter didn't like the soccer jersey we bought for him (because it's not Dynamo) but Carson sure did!
